[ACSOL is posting this to show an example of extreme sentencing]
A tutor who sexually assaulted two boys for more than a half-decade while working with them in an Orange County after-school program was sentenced on Friday, July 18, to 235 years to life behind bars.
The sentence of Zeta “Jimmy” _______, 53, in a Santa Ana courtroom — officially 235 years, eight months to life — came a little more than two months after a jury convicted him of a dozen felony counts of lewd acts with a minor under 14 and a single count of possession of child pornography.
Zeta would have to serve the 235 years, eight months in custody before even becoming eligible for parole.
Zeta , who served as his own attorney, testified to being interested in children who have sex with other children and to possessing child pornography for “educational purposes.” But he denied ever touching the boys, prosecutors wrote in a sentencing brief.

What does ACSOL believe a sentence for this man should be?
200 plus years, I had no idea a person could live that long. The way society is headed I don’t know if I want to make it to sixty.
I think this is a good example of our courts ruling by feelings, not facts. The idea that “molestation is worse than murder” is a very modern phenomenon, driven by media and emotion, not actual, hard evidence. It is pushed by 24-hour news, tabloids, and the cess pit echo chambers of social media.
This man appears to have committed crimes, but they are not on par with murder, worse than murder, or even close to murder. Americans should not be so ready to hand the state the power to permanently imprison people because it finds them disgusting, because there are a LOT of disgusting people in this nation.
If the man did said crimes, then obviously he should be punished. However, the sentence itself shows this was an emotionally charged sentence and doubtless considered worse for many since the crimes were alleged to be homosexual in nature (after all, a male victim even makes someone “worse” according to the static-99R which is nonsense). The fact you have people who’ve murdered multiple people get less time than that speaks of bias. Its pretty comical though, a country that has sexual related themes/materiel everywhere (to include pushing sexual related information in schools, to include flags) also severely punishes people for committing sexual crimes (up to the point its considered worse than murder itself, which is extremely asinine). Its as stupid as you’re not old enough for a beer due to immaturity, but you’re old enough to go shoot Americas enemies in a war, or you’re too young for sex because your mind isn’t developed, but will turn around and charge those very people whose minds aren’t developed enough as adults…….
Orange County is going to lose their minds if this guy turns out to be a vampire and walks out a free man in 235.75 years!
Geesh,,,,,,don’t ever represent yourself. He would’ve even had a better shot with a public defender
I can understand the 235 years, but the 8 months is excessive.
Judges, through the imposition of severe sentences, intend to send a warning message to all defendants who consider representing themselves: “Don’t do it. If your’e found guilty, I will give you the maximum amount of time allowed by the law”. This is a very common occurrence in the criminal justice system.
And why? Well, judges have to work far, far harder when conducting a trial with a “pro per” defendant (i.e.,’self-represented’). ‘Pro per’ trials are on the whole, more time-consuming, and thus more expensive, and hold a far higher likelihood of creating a reversible error(s). A reversal of a conviction would then necessitate a re-trial, and other defendants would have to wait longer for their day in court. Another jury would need to be impanelled, and the young victims would once again have to testify,
This is why judges typically hand down these types of sentences. (I’m not a judge, so don’t get down on me for it).
Another example of someone not on the registry committing a sex crime. Tell me how the registry prevented or solved this while I wait for pigs to fly. Flying pigs could happen in a tornado, yet the government will never admit the registry prevents or solves anything.
Lesson learned. Never ever represent yourself, even if you are a lawyer. Maybe he can appeal and get proper representation.
An Ohio couple were both just sentenced to life in prison for molesting a baby and a toddler.
And a Google News search of the word “molested” brings the following string of stories, citing as the accused:
🔸a rabbi
🔸a police detective
🔸a church member, and
🔸a park ranger. 😩
But on a different note, there’s this story from the BBC:
“Sex robot sent for repairs after being molested at tech fair” 😱
